Anxiety Treatment / Cures

Q: Is there an anxiety treatment which cures?
A: Yes, there is!

Anxiety disorder produces debilitating and frightening symptoms, causing the sufferer to feel isolated, which in turn, causes them to retreat, both physically and emotionally, often in search of a suitable anxiety treatment or cure.

No one, not even the people closest to you, can understand how debilitating and frightening anxiety conditions can be, unless they have experienced them personally or through a close family member. Whilst the anxiety sufferer is caught up in the 'anxiety web', it is very difficult to identify the correct cure or treatment for them and they often become confused by the range of treatment options available to them.

Conventional anxiety treatments, which may be presented as an anxiety cure, can mean skipping from one practitioner to the next, testing the affect of various drug treatments and investing time in talking therapies which may have little to no impact on your anxiety condition, even over months or years.

There is, however, an anxiety treatment which offers a cure. This method is simple to use and offers complete and permanent recovery... and it's guaranteed. Before we tell you how it works, I will explain how it works.

What causes anxiety?

Anxiety is caused and perpetuated in the subconscious mind, primarily, in a small almond sized structure in the brain called the Amygdala. The Amygdala is the control centre for anxiety and reacts directly to feedback from the sensory organs. Changes in the behaviour of Amygdala following repeated stimulation during times of stress cause the Amygdala to become 'reset' at a higher than natural level of anxiety. It is this alone which causes and perpetuates anxiety conditions.

Appropriate anti-anxiety treatments should target the anxiety 'habit' in the Amygdala directly and not attempt to treat the superficial symptoms but the very root of the condition. The most successful and correct anxiety treatments and cures conditions should not dwell on blame or try to analyse the 'catalyst' for the condition; it should provide the solution which focuses on the 'here and now' and every day from now on, by supplying a structured anxiety elimination solution with permanent results... a complete anxiety cure.

So, can an anxiety treatment provide a cure?

In short, yes, there is an anxiety treatment available which can permanently eliminate anxiety and all its symptoms.

If you completely remove the inappropriate anxiety, re-setting it back to a normal' level, inappropriate anxiety will fade away. Of course, each of these anxiety conditions carries their own set of symptoms, but these will also fade away as you eliminate your anxiety. With targeted treatment methodologies, the true anxiety cure will re-programme the subconscious mind to react more appropriately to anxiety provoking stimuli which in turn eliminates the anxiety symptoms experienced.

Early anxiety diagnosis is preferable; it is much simpler to eliminate inappropriate anxiety before it has manifested a wide range of symptoms; however, whether you have suffered with anxiety for days, weeks, months, years or even decades, the solution is the same, just as fats, just as simple and permanent.

Do Anti-Anxiety Medication / Drugs Provide a Cure?

The short answer to this question is NO! Anxiety medication cannot, in isolation, provide a complete cure for anxiety disorders.

Sedatives and anti-depressants are the most widely prescribed 'anxiety medications', but they are certainly not a cure for anxiety, in fact, most were developed as a treatment other conditions such as depression. Whilst both have a purpose as a treatment for certain conditions, neither were developed specifically for anxiety and can produce a range of side effects (including anxiety itself!)

Developed only for short-term usage, anxiety medication taken over an extended period of time and/or at high dosage, can lead to significant withdrawal problems which then means that the sufferer must seek other anxiety treatments and support for withdrawal. When the drugs are later withdrawn, the disorder usually returns; sometimes at a higher level than ever before.

In not one case of the tens of thousands of people that we have helped using our anxiety treatment methodology, The Linden Method, has anxiety medication actually cured the underlying disorder. Anti-anxiety drugs simply 'mask' the symptoms of the anxiety but do not cure the anxiety itself.

Anxiety is a behavioural condition, caused by the way the Amygdala has 'learned' to behave. Anxiety drugs / medications cannot 'teach' you to address the anxious habits which perpetuate the anxiety, they can only, at best, provide temporary relief from some symptoms; as the drugs are ceased, the anxiety, usually, floods back.

Is Psychotherapy a cure for Anxiety?

Both behavioural therapy and cognitive therapy are used to help you to change your daily habits and negative thought processes, which cause you to react anxiously. Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT) combines both behavioural and cognitive therapy.

Psychotherapy has some useful devices but is unfortunately undermined by all of the damaging elements which it also carries with it. Psychotherapy is not a targeted or supportive anxiety treatment and in isolation could never be called an anxiety cure.

Psychotherapies often delve too deeply into past life experiences in order to assign blame for the creation of the anxiety, but this is not productive in anxiety disorders and can be damaging both emotionally and in terms of the recovery.

Our anxiety treatment methodology focuses on the cause of the anxiety condition and eliminates it at its core along with all of the unpleasant physical and psychological symptoms it causes. As an anxiety cure, our Method is targeted and carries an estimated 96.7% success rate amongst complying clients.

Alternative Therapies for Anxiety

Successful treatment of anxiety conditions using alternative therapies is rare, but used in conjunction with other approaches, many people have found relief from some of the symptoms of anxiety.

Alternative therapies can be used in a limited way as an additional resource in successful anxiety treatment; targeting some of the symptoms of anxiety, certain alternative therapies can be quite effective; however, it is not an anxiety 'cure' and can also be quite expensive.

Some alternative therapies such as massage can be massively beneficial at reducing some of the more uncomfortable physical aches and pains associated with anxiety but again, it does not offer an anxiety cure, it is simply a treatment for some of the more superficial anxiety symptoms.

Mark Johns tells us his experiences of anxiety and using the Linden Method:

"I just wanted to drop you a note to say how grateful I am that I discovered the Linden Method. 8 years ago I developed really extreme anxiety. I couldn't leave my flat, I couldn't face day to day situations, I had a permanent grimace on my face and things were very, very bad. Gradually I got better though but it took about 2 years and I never actually got to the bottom of how I had been feeling. My condition became something I couldn't explain and I visited all kinds of practitioners looking for answers but got nowhere. I threw myself into work and distracted myself all the time and gradually the panic attacks and feelings of despair lessened and lessened. It was a very slow recovery and I never got back to how I had felt previous to its onset. In other words I thought I was now different and would have to live with feeling not quite right.

Forward-wind around 6 years to around 8 weeks ago and I was there again! The nightmare had re-awakened, the feelings were back but worse than ever. (I suffered 3 weeks in intensive care at my fathers bedside and a dear friend also died) I cried and cried for days. I was waking up in the morning to panic attacks. I was freezing cold, sweating, crying and generally appalled at what was happening in my mind. Nightmare.

So, I did some Googling and lo and behold came across the Linden Method website. This was only 6 weeks ago. I remember clearly fighting back the tears as I ordered the pack (not because of the price!) as I felt I had come to the end of the road. I can't honestly rule out the admission of feeling suicidal. BUT I have a beautiful supportive wife and the most amazing 16 month old son. I stopped work and retreated to Devon (where my parents have a holiday home luckily) The next day the Linden pack arrived and I couldn't believe it. Just reading the first page I could see that I wasn't the only person in the Universe that felt like this. I cried a lot as I read the pages. So, I spent 9 days going through the nine pillars and using the visualizations. I could recount hundreds of situations related to panic and anxiety but I'll shortcut that by simply saying that 5 weeks later, I am back to normal. In fact not back to normal but beyond that, way beyond that. The combination of understanding what the sensations were that I was feeling, the nine pillars, the visualizations and my amazing family have, well, completely changed my life. I am no longer frightened of anything. Sure, some things still make me nervous and I am not suggesting that I won't get the feelings again and have done but the crucial thing is that I now know how to deal with them. Sometimes, believe it or not they even make me laugh! Maybe that's just my way of coping!

So, thank you. Thanks for real, sensible, practical and well informed advice in the pack and also for the great coaching and counselling on the phone."
