Psycho-educational recovery is a science based practice that removes emotional imbalances and restores physical and mental wellbeing.
How does it work?
The mind only responds to and adjusts itself as a result of information received through the senses.
Much like the learning processes we all go through at school, when learning to ride a bicycle or any other learning process, repeated actions create knowledge and ability. It's how we learn everything.
It's also, for example, how we achieve fitness. By repeating an action over a period of time, our internal systems adjust to create strength and fitness.
Psycho-educational recovery isn't new science, it's just new 'therapy'.
What we do works exactly because psychology, therapy, exposure, hypnosis and other systems fail.
They fail because, if you think about how they are practised, they just make you focus on, talk about and analyse your thoughts and symptoms. This is why many sufferers state that they feel worse or no better after therapy. In essence, they have spent all their time focusing on and 'practising' being anxious.
The mind wants to forget anxiety and move back to normal fear responses... but therapy doesn't allow it to.
Psycho-educational therapy allows the brain to quickly 'forget' to be anxious.
You see, anxiety (fear) can be switched off in under a second but ONLY when your senses tell it to.
Psycho-educational recovery teaches you how to do so with structure, simplicity and ease... kids of seven and under do it. In fact, many don't even realise they are!
TLM tells you how to quickly send messages back to your autonomic nervous system and to deactivate anxiety, phobias, obsessive thoughts, eating disorders, health anxiety, low mood... in fact all fear related disorders and symptoms.
It really is that simple.
