Fear of Dying - Thanatophobia / Necrophobia

Fear of dying or Thanatophobia / Necrophobia is a normal and expected symptom of high anxiety. The fear of dying is a normal human fear but in high anxiety conditions, the sufferer becomes obsessed with the subject and spends much of their waking day thinking about and experiencing an overwhelming fear of death and dying. The condition is commonly known by two names, Thanatophobia and Necrophobia which both mean a 'fear of dying' or a 'fear of death'. Thanatophobia can be cured so that the fear of death no longer plays a conscious part in the sufferer's everyday life.
